Yesterday Steve announced new macs at Mac World Expo. And they have Intel inside. The brand new Core Duo! They are a dream!
I can’t wait to get my hands on the Powerbook successor called Macbook Pro. It is a dream! Anyone willing to give me money?

No you are mistaken. First it has a different format.
– First, it is widescreen.
– Second it is thinner then the current powerbook.
– Third it has the hole in the front (IR Sensor)
Otherwise you are right it looks very similar to the powerbook, but still it is bit different.
And the processor. Perhups it is not so beautyfull in the inside the Core Duo. But it is much faster then even a G5. That makes the Core Duo the right processor.
Are you coding for the mac in assembler that you care about the processor?
Powerpc is a power consumption monster. So why do you think that it is the “good” processor?
I took a look at the powerbook err.. “macbook pro” for my self and *WUPP* the reality distortion field had me =).
I didn’t say the powerpc is the best architecture, but I would like to see something like a 3,2 ghz dualcore G4. It has a vector unit and it’s RISC.
Give me one of those macbooks…… please =).
Yes sure. I would also love to see a 3.6 GHz dualcore G5 in a powerbook. But sadly that will remain a dream 🙁
